she may see that it didnt ruffle your feathers, which indicates a lot of confidence and she could change her mind and then she'll ask you to lunch or to study or something.

or she DOESNT change her mind BUT you still look like a boss and she'll still respect you. you keep your dignity and you still look smooth as hell. which is what being good with girls is about. always having strong pride (not cocky though). maybe she'll hook you up with a friend

SO DONT CHANGE ANYTHING! thats basically accepting it, if you cant accept it, at least youre looking like you do lol
Alright, thanks TabascoOcean, I really appreciate it. I had the same thing in mind, just keeping myself upbeat and continue talking to her and making her laugh.

thanks for posting everyone. Well i asked her out today, (i've done everything from joking in class to directly joking with her, i speak up in class, i show confidence), and she said she already had a boyfriend. her boyfriend has the same name as me too from what she said. we go to a smaller college so i don't think she really has any friends there. she said she definitely would have gone out with me had she not been in a relationship, so my next question is... how do i influence her to go for me instead of her boyfriend? i know it's a mean thing to do, but i feel like i deserve her more.

btw it's almost impossible to get her out anywhere even as friends. she said it's just a bad idea and i asked her if she was serious with her boyfriend and apparently they're getting serious.

First off I just want to thank everyone that has contributed to this thread. And TrippAdvice, this is our 3rd/4th week of class and I have been joking around with her not always directly, but with people around us too. This week I think I'm going to ask her out for coffee. Your advice was spot on with my plan - I like that haha means i'm heading on the right track. If she says no then I'll do my best to make it less awkward, because maybe I can try again later hehe.

Theres a girl in my thursday class who sits near me. We have breaks because its a long class so I figure that's a good time to talk to her or otherwise in group work. I could use any advice really, on what to say / when to say it. Can you guys help a brother out?  :-\
