The Concept of Inevitability (David DeAngelo)
« on: February 12, 2011, 09:13:43 PM »
Hi y'all!

A few months ago I checked one of the CD's of David DeAngelo's Man Transformation. One of the concepts he talked about was "Inevitability".

Basically, it's throwing your hat over the fence, and making it inevitable for you to succeed. So I used one of his applications of this principle. I declared to a good friend of mine that I would approach 28 girls in the month of April 2010 - in direct daygame style. For each approach I didn't make, I had to pay him 10 EURO. So if I approached none, then I owed him 20 x 10 EURO = 200 EURO. If I approached all twenty, then I owed him 0 x 10 EURO = 0 EURO. You get the idea.

The 10 EURO isn't that much, so it wasn't painful enough if I didn't approach. So I could have made it stronger by raising the punishment fee to, let's say, 50 EURO. But the principle stays the same.

In the end, I approached 21 girls. 16 of whom I got a phone number or Facebook name. I had 3 dates, and 1 kiss close. But I was flying!!!

This month I'm using this agreement with my friend again, current number of approaches is 12. 1 FB close.

Try it!

What it basically does, is conditioning yourself by associating PAIN with not approaching, and PLEASURE with doing the approach. The pain is losing money, the pleasure is a nice interaction with a hot girl. Check out Tony Robbins for more in-depth theories, about avoiding pain and gaining pleasure.

I love that idea! It makes you give less value to the approach itself, because you're more worried about losing your money! And as time passes you get used to the approach and then you don't need to bet your money in it. Just fucking genious.
