Daygame at the Movies?
« on: July 21, 2011, 09:07:58 PM »
Heres a lovely bit of Daygame (Allthough not perfect) From the Movie "Scenes of a Sexual Nature" NB: in the previous scene the girl had just split with her boyfriend (seen walking off into the distance)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlS9HT3lWqs

Another Movie that has some nice Day moves is the "Tao of Steve"

Any others?

Just friends...
The Notebook...(Beginning.)

There's a film with Matt Damon where he chats up a woman in a lift... can't remember the name.
...

Here's an idea.
STOP WATCHING FILMS AND GO OUT AND MAKE YOUR OWN FILM.
GET OF YOUR CHAIR AND GET INTO THE HIGH STREET.

...

I had to put that in capitals and scream it because it's true.
I'm fed up of everyone trying to learn from reading and watching videos.

Just do it already.
But still. Enjoy the films. Lol.

I prefer to watch Evil Dead.  :P

Seriously though, I can only think of Roger Dodger maybe, or James Bond. Possibly also Wedding Crashers, but thats just cool 'cause Rachel McAdams in it (she's in The Notebook too) Not sure its 'Daygame' though. I suppose Happy Go-Lucky has a slight Daygame scene but the meeting between the main character and her partner is sort of incidental at work, but still during the day anyway.

Generally though my main taste in film is social realist, horror, sci fi/fantasy and Crime. I know this is detracting but sometimes its nice to know about the person behind the gamer and their personal taste. Maybe it'd be a worthwhile thread sometime which I may start unless someone else takes the initiative.

Lethal Weapon 2 surprisingly - though he has sort of already met her. But meh, you'll know what I mean if you watch it.

The Notebook...(Beginning.)
I've never tried the "threatening to drop to my own death" style approach. Any success?

i just saw rumblefish (on netflix) and was blown away. not really a daygame movie but mickey rourke is such an alpha in this film. his brother (matt dillon) is a total beta...

rourke just puts off this vibe that he doens't give a fuck about what anyone thinks. one of his best roles
