I personally never really use Routines. Not saying that they do not work, for some people they do and work great. I have more of a Direct Natural approach to both night game and day game. I feel that since the show "The Pick Up Artist" aired and other things that have brought the community more into the public eye have taken a little out of routine openers, and alot of girls nowadays can sense when you are using a canned opener or like an opinion opener because they have already heard or seen it on tv or they have had one of these openers used on them before. I personally like to go in more direct and just let her know my intentions in the beginning instead of beating around the bush, because no matter what kind of approach you have, she knows deep down that you are hitting on her, so why not show that you are confident and go right for the kill! lol

Anyway speaking for myself, its been a while since I've done any game. I've not been out properly for a while until lately, and I live in a small city, which is less than ideal for game. And I want to move away to London anyway, where I'll be picking it up.
Honestly though, I just see this as a sort of break. I have instead spent the time out trying to enrich my life in other areas, such as getting back into my painting, working on my career, saving up some money and sometimes playing about with my guitar.
I will however report from the front again in due course when I'm back in the game. But I like finding other ways in which I can fulfill myself. Although my hiatus has been slightly longer, you will remember John saying on one of the podcasts that it has been good for him to take some time off for the time being, and I'm kind of seeing it like that.
