The top five regrets of the dying
« on: February 06, 2012, 09:18:30 AM »
I found this short article on The Guardians website the other day about a nurse who cared for dying patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives and how the same five themes came up when they were asked about any regrets or anything they would of done differently.

Not only can this be related to daygame but how important it is to actually go for what we want and to make the most of our lives while we are here. Do you really want to be one of these people lying on your death bed with all these regrets in mind?

Interesting. And no doubt true.

I'll no doubt be reminded of this a lot with my future career. Not that anyone cares, but I intend to go into nursing myself, so hopefully I'll never forget these things that come up as a result.

The final question at the end of the article will no doubt be poignant and probably will stand out for many of the people here as this is what this is all about anyway:

"What's your greatest regret so far, and what will you set out to achieve or change before you die?"
