I don't agree with the whole "if a guy finds a woman attractive and would hook up with her if offered then they can't just be friends" logic.
I've got attractive female friends, why does the fact that I would like to sleep with them disqualify them from the friends category? If that was the only reason that I was friends with them, then yes, but I don't give too much significance to it. I would be friends with them even if I didn't want to sleep with them.
I consider it like having a friend that's, say, a really good cook. I would really enjoy it if he cooked me a really nice meal, but that's not why I'm friends with him and I'm not going to get pissed off if he never cooks for me. If my relationship with him was based entirely on the motive of getting him to cook for me, then, no, we wouldn't really be friends.
For a lot of guys though, its more like having a friend with a lot of money, to the extent where people chum up to them in the hopes that they might get some.
